Define Success on Your Own Terms
Let’s start with a big one: what is it?
What does success actually mean—to you?
A few years ago, I thought success was a six-figure salary, owning a house by 30, long-term partner, a C-level job title, and maybe even a goldendoodle. Even though I had most of it, I remember sitting at my desk one day—completely exhausted—thinking, Was this really it? I was burned out and miserable.
Now, success feels a lot more like freedom, joy, and being present everyday.
It’s doing work I love, spending time with my people, and living in a way that feels aligned for me.
Let’s Experiment
Take five minutes and create your own definition of success.
It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be yours. Let it be a starting point and evolve.
Why it matters: If you don’t define success for yourself, someone else will—and their version might lead you somewhere you never actually wanted to go.
Want to challenge yourself?
Post your definition of success in the comments — I’d love to hear it!
